This recipe turns out great every time!

6 Medium Red Delicious Apples (peeled, quartered and sliced) about 6 cups
1 Can Frozen Apple Juice (no sugar) thawed (or six ounces Apple Sugarless Apple Juice or fresh Apple Juice made in Vita Mix) You can also use a mix of
1 1/2 Tablespoons Corn Starch

Pie crust (can use frozen crust for 2-crust pie) 9″ or 10″ and 2″ deep

Place apples in apple juice. Put in large pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Dissolve cornstarch in small amount of water. Stir in apple mixture. Bring to boil. Simmer uncovered for 10-15 minutes. Stir in cinnamon. Fill pie shell and dot with margarine. Cover pie with top crust.

2014 11-27 Scene Pie BeforeCut slits in crust (can also make a fancy “A” on the top with side vent slits.) I used a pie top cutter for the top crust.
